A few years after I completed law school, Barbara, Mark and I settled near Mountain Station, and within five miles of my birthplace in Newark.
We've all benefited from what South Orange has to offer. We've used the train, walked downtown to shop and enjoyed the park and pool. Mark went through the public school system and participated in local sports programs. Barbara earned her MBA from Seton Hall.
While most of my career has been in the private practice of law, I also worked for a large corporation for almost ten years, part of that time as a manager.
In pursuit of my hobby, I completed a certificate program at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts.
As time has allowed, Barbara and I have both tried to give back to the community through various activities and volunteer work. Over the years, I've served on a Board of Education committee and, more recently, a Village advisory committee, and have participated in civic endeavors with the League of Women Voters.
Now, I want to serve South Orange as a trustee, and I believe my background and skills would benefit the Village.
